Veto Threatens The Symphonia

  • Aug 1, 2024

As you may have heard, there was recently a sweeping veto, cutting previously approved arts and culture funding from the 2024-25 Florida State budget. A total of $32 million was slashed from the budget, resulting in losses for 640 wonderful Florida arts organizations. This includes a $42,300 loss in anticipated funding for The Symphonia’s 2024-25 operating budget.

Over the years, state backing of arts and culture has played a crucial role in The Symphonia’s financial framework, allowing us to consistently deliver high-quality concerts, programming and meaningful engagement with our community. We are not going away, but your support right now is important.

YOU can help mitigate this loss by “stepping into the breach.” Become a subscriber or add a little extra to your usual annual contribution. If you have never given, please make a gift today.

THANK YOU!
