Lynda Palmer hosts Meet the Orchestra Fundraiser

Nearly 50 friends and supporters of The Symphonia joined at the home of Lynda Palmer to enjoy an invitation-only evening of music and raised vital dollars for the organization’s “Meet the Orchestra” program.
Attendees were treated to a private pre-concert performance by violin soloist Elissa Lee Koljonen and cello soloist Yumi Kendall. The two were featured the following day in the community-wide concert “Happy Birthday Beethoven,” the third installment of this year’s Marleen Forkas Connoisseur Concert Series, which has the theme “Celebrating Women in Music.” The concert was held at Roberts Theater at Saint Andrew’s School in Boca Raton.
The private gathering also featured a special birthday celebration for Marleen Forkas, a major benefactor of The Symphonia. Meet the Orchestra is an interactive program for children, their parents, and their grandparents, exploring music and its instruments.
