Why Give to The Symphonia?
Since 2004, The Symphonia has been celebrating a passion for music and a commitment to community. The ensemble’s success is built on a solid foundation of:
Artistic Programming
The Symphonia provides outstanding orchestral music to South Florida on a seasonal basis that features:
- The classics and contemporary works by modern masters
- A balanced and distinctive listening experience
- Our uniqueness as an orchestra and arts organization
Outreach
Our organization extends its reach to many special segments of the community, including:
- Underserved children at the Boys & Girls Club of Delray Beach through our Building a String Orchestra & Self-Esteem program
- Special needs adults from the Schwedelson Sunday Social Scene at the Levis JCC with opportunities to receive concert tickets
- Community members from Boca Helping Hands who cannot afford tickets to attend rehearsals
Education
The Symphonia offers educational programs to all levels of the community, including:
- Meet the Orchestra, a hands-on music appreciation program for children and their parents
- Box Lunch It with The Symphonia, an up-close and personal opportunity to sit in on a rehearsal and learn how a concert comes together
- Pre-concert conversations with our conductor and soloists
Community Collaboration
Believing that creative energy and community reach are amplified when organizations work together, The Symphonia maintains ongoing synergies with, amongst others:
- Festival of Arts BOCA
- City of Boca Raton
- Boca Ballet Theater
- Old School Square
