You Get Rhythm
Meet the Orchestra is an interactive program for children, their parents, and their grandparents, exploring music and its instruments.
Today's program will begin with a musical rhythm game, where children will learn to create basic rhythm patterns.
- The children will watch The Symphonia perform Zwilich's Double Concerto for Violin and Cello and Beethoven's Symphony No. 5.
- This week's guest conductor, James Judd, will speak to students about the music and the role of a conductor in the ensemble.
- Elissa Lee Koljonen and Yumi Kendall, the Violin and Cello soloists will speak with the children and demonstrate their instruments.
