Our longtime friend and concertmaster of the Philadelphia Orchestra David Kim will lead The Symphonia performing Jessie Montgomery’s lively Voodoo Dolls, works by Kreisler and Mozart, and the virtuosic Four Seasons of Buenos Aires by Astor Piazzolla.

David Kim

David Kim

Violinist David Kim was named concertmaster of The Philadelphia Orchestra in 1999. Born in Carbondale, IL, in 1963, he started playing the violin at the age of three, began studies with the famed pedagogue Dorothy DeLay at the age of eight, and later received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Juilliard School. Kim will be performing at Symphonia of HeARTs, accompanied by his daughter on the piano.
