CONCERT SOLD OUT
Grammy-nominated violinist and conductor Andrés Cárdenes' first appearance with the Symphonia is a dazzling, sensuous, all-strings program. Two sizzling, virtuosic Italian works by Rossini and Vivaldi will open the concert, which will conclude with Mahler's dark, brooding, and driven arrangement of Schubert’s Quartet in D Minor ("Death and the Maiden").
- Variations on Caprice No. 24
- Concertos in E Minor and D Major from La Stravaganza
- String Quartet in D minor “Death and the Maiden” (arr. for string orchestra by Gustav Mahler)
